Social Networking Sites Partner Up

Global handshake

Social networking has been a popular way of communication especially in today’s online world. The connectedness that social networking offers has made it very convenient for people to establish and maintain relationships.

Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are just some of the most popular social networking web sites to rule today’s online world. They have been increasing their popularity especially in the last half decade. The increase in the number of people that use the Internet in their everyday lives has made these social networking sites even more important.

Imagine if these three huge networking sites, with millions of users to their names, combined together and be used simultaneously? It is something of a dream that is little by little coming true today. Just recently Twitter announced its collaboration with its fellow social networking giants Facebook and LinkedIn.

Recent updates, though, have announced that some features on this collaboration may need a few technical adjustments. A few days back, Twitter announced that the Twitter-Facebook app is currently undergoing some technical difficulties and that they think Facebook may have something more to do with it. Facebook released a statement saying that it is currently working on the glitches of the app.

The three large social sites will work together to be able to bring more interactivity and engagement to social networking. Users can now simultaneously use their accounts on these web sites and manage them accordingly. The partnership allows users to be updated on their Twitter accounts while using Facebook or LinkedIn and vice versa. Just last month, LinkedIn launched their Twitter app that lets the microblogging website get updates from Twitter users who are also in LinkedIn.

Users can also see their friends who are also in Twitter and be able to follow their accounts. Your connections on Facebook can now be your followers on Twitter! Although not yet fully functional, these partnerships pose a big step forward in the way we do social networking.
